I graduated from Wright State University with honor in 1993. My degree is in Early Childhood Education, concentrating in English and Social Studies.
Experience
I am currently offering a weekend tutoring special -- 1/hour a week for $100/month (a savings of $20-$50/month). If there is a 5th weekend that month - you get it for FREE! Only requirement is that you pay monthly. There are no refunds or discounts for missed lessons, but I am willing to do makeups. I was a Reading Intervention Teacher (K-3) for one year with Beavercreek City Schools(Title I Program) and three years with Franklin City Schools (Government Funded Grant Program).I laid off both times due to lack of funding. I have been tutoring now for the past 11 years, Language Arts (K-6) and Math (K-6). I have experience working with multiple students with learning disabilities (dyslexia, ADD and ADHD). While tutoring I work on both academics and self-confidence. I have also worked with advanced students who are needing to be challenged. I have had multiple students go from D's and F's to straight A's, including one with dyslexia. I currently have one student who just finished Kindergarten reading at a 2nd grade level and doing 2 digit addition. I do have references available upon request. The success of my students is a combination of attendance and parental support in-between lessons.
